E-TransControl was formed after its founder discovered that there were no simple, low cost control units available to independently operate a computer controlled transmission from a later model car. After custom building one for his personal project car (above) he discovered how affordable it could be done. His 1988 Fiero GT now has a 4T60E 4 speed automatic with a lockup torque converter which increased the gas mileage and performance. It was originally equiped with the TH125C which is a 3 speed automatic with lockup converter. Over time he discovered other car enthusiast interested in the same simple features and low cost, so E-TransControl was started.
